Four players from the Japanese teams that defeated Juventus in 2006 Gallini final
In 2006, Japan surprised everybody defeating Juventus at the final, but it happened for a reason. Three players of that team, Sakai Gotoku, Haraguchi Genki and Usami Takashi will play the most prestigious football tournament in the world. Usami, Champions League finalist with Bayern Munich, has taken part also to the 2007 edition together with Shibasaki Gaku, winning the best player award.
Three players from Serbia
After the four footballers by Japan, the second National selection for number of Gallini on his roster, is Serbia, that brings Zivkovic Andrija (already under 20 World Cup winner) Milenkovic Nikola and Mitrovic Aleksandar that we met to give him the Gallini Cup Hall of Fame Award. While the young Zivkovic played the tournament in Pordenone in 2012, Milenkovic and Mitrovic won the 2009 edition.
Two from Croatia
For Croatia there will be Vrasljiko Sime, that has taken part with Dinamo Zagreb in 2007 to later win the Europa League with Atletico Madrid. With the Croatians, still with Dinamo, is Kovacic Mateo to have played in 2009 winning with Real Madrid: 3 UEFA Champions League, 2 UEFA Super Cup and 2 FIFA Club World Cup
Also Nigeria, Sweden and Switzerland will represent Gallini Cup players
And finally, we find with Nigeria Obi Joel, that played in Pordenone in 2006 with Inter Milan, team with which he won the FIFA Club World Cup, Jansson Pontus for Sweden (Malmo 2006 at Gallini) and Zuber Steven for Switzerland (FC Winterthur 2006)
