After a stunning season with Fulham FC and qualifying Serbia at the FIFA World Cup thanks to his goals, Aleksandar Mitrović deserves more than ever to be member of the Gallini Cup Hall of Fame.
The Serbian striker played the tournament in Pordenone in 2009 for FK Partizan, with teammates such as Lazar Marković and Nikola Ninković, winning the final against one of the best youth Atalanta generation ever with Caldara, Conti, Gagliardini.
We have been at Craven Cottage, home of Fulham FC, to meet Aleksandar and to give him our Award.
It was a surprise, Mitro was not expecting us and as soon as he heard about the Gallini tournament he did a very big smile and said:
“Of course I remember the Gallini World Cup! We used to go to many tournaments at that time but the Gallini was so nice! Please say hello to everybody there.”
Then he happily shaked our hand thanking us a lot and honestily, both our staff member and him looked very touched about the moment.
Mitro also signed us his t-shirt that we will proudly show at our walk of fame.
